Buyer Tools, Templates & Project Briefs

Prepare a parts supply, OEM/ODM or sourcing request. Download working templates, build an editable brief, or choose the next step in your buying process.

Ready to use

Download the Buyer Templates

Use the same project reference, product version and quantity basis in each document. The files contain blank working fields or illustrative prompts, rather than verified supplier results.

The CSV files open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. The PDF is a printable sample review worksheet. No registration is required.

Practical project records

Keep Your Approved Version Connected to the Order

Download blank records for the decisions after your first RFQ. Keep the same project reference across your drawings, sample feedback, approvals and packing details.

Drawing & Sample Approval Record

Record the drawing revision, requested change, manufacturer response, sample identification, approval scope and next action.

Download Approval Record (TXT)

Multi-Item Order & Handover Record

Track each item, approved version, quantity, packaging, batch or carton references, required documents and unresolved points.

Download Order & Handover Record (TXT)

These editable text templates open without an account or spreadsheet software. They are blank working records; use your actual project information and agree responsibilities with the relevant manufacturer or provider.

Start with what you know

Create an Editable Project Brief

Describe the part or result you want. Leave undecided fields blank. Create a draft to copy, download or review in the inquiry form.

Describe confidential designs at a high level first. Agree permitted sharing and any NDA before sending restricted technical files.

Creating a draft does not send an inquiry. You review it in the contact form and choose whether to submit. The transfer uses this browser tab temporarily; clearing the draft removes that transfer copy.

What to Include in Your First Request

Not every buyer starts with a production-ready drawing. The aim of the first conversation is to identify the next information needed for a credible supplier or manufacturing discussion.

01 · Product Photo or URL

Show the product type and any changes you want. Include the intended vehicle and approximate quantity if known; a reference picture alone does not establish dimensions or rights to copy a protected design.

02 · Your CAD or Engineering Drawing

Share an authorized STEP, DXF or PDF and the drawing revision. Note material, finish, installation constraints and what engineering decisions remain open.

03 · Physical Sample or Existing Product

Explain what should match, what must change and which features need measurement or re-engineering. Confirm permitted use of any third-party design before manufacturer sharing.

04 · Vehicle and Intended Application

Provide make, model, year and trim, plus photos of installation points and planned modifications. We can discuss requirements before an exact product drawing exists.

Make the brief fit your business

Add the Buying Context That Matters

Importers and distributors: list quantities by SKU, packing configuration, destination and repeat-order expectations. Private-label brands: add authorized artwork, product changes and tooling requirements. Workshops and product developers: include vehicle generation, interface measurements and trial-fit requirements. Specialist retailers: identify the trial range, packaging and the product data needed for resale.

Still Working Out the Details?

A photo, product link, sketch or short description is enough to start the conversation. Explain the next decision you need help with.
